So, we're getting married in nine days!
How am I? I'm okay, I guess. Kinda nervous. Excited for sure. Worried that things aren't gonna come together at the last minute.
For example, I was on the phone with Sears for the last two days trying to figure out where this last bridesmaid's gift I ordered went...they gave me a tracking number and UPS says they delivered it. Then I see in the notes "FRONT DOOR" and I'm like what?? You see, this house has three doors. We who dwell in the basement can only get to our apartment via the side door. The other two doors belong to the upstairs apartment. The "front door" doesn't actually work so nobody uses it at all. I ran outside and looked for it...looked in the bushes, in the window holes, pretty much everywhere. Then I thought "wait..." and I opened the front screen door to the front door. Guess what? The package fell right out. *sigh* What a waste of time and worry.
Did I mention I had to pick a new headpiece because the one I wanted was backordered? I did get the stuff I ordered on time though so I'm feeling pretty good about that.
I called the alterations place to see how my dress was doing and they were like, "Oh, you need to set up a final alteration appointment and it'll be done by then." I was like, "No, the lady I spoke with told me she would call me to set that up." Apparently this is not the way they usually do this. At any rate, I'm a little peeved and all I can say is that it better fit because otherwise I'm going to throw a fit. I never got a phone call...she said she'd be calling me in two weeks. It's been two and a half. I"m just glad I called today instead of waiting. Grrr! We're leaving on Tuesday next week to go down to Eagle Lake so if the dress doesn't fit then I guess I'm screwed.
I think we are going to have about 150 people coming to our wedding. So far we have 95 RSVP'ed. Very few of my family members have done this so I'm not sure how many of them are coming (the ones who live out on the East Coast). I know my Grandma isn't coming (this makes me sad!) but what can you do? We'll still have fun. And I know many of our friends are coming...that's so exciting!!
:)
I've got the itinerary all worked out so that has been sent. I'm really looking forward to this and I sure hope it's fun!!
Today, we are going thrifting to see if we can find a Unity Candle, a flowergirl basket and a ringbearer's pillow. Also, I'm getting rid of a good chunk of stuff. All of the invitations are out now and I think I'm just really looking forward to the wedding and then the honeymoon!
Okay, enough wedding talk. It has kind of taken over my life. And since I'm boring and I don't have anything else to talk about, I gotta go.
9 days!
